By surprise I found the tiny Abel Gate, indeed memorizing, with a 2nd plate,
Niels Henrik Abel (Finnøy 25 August 1802 -
Arendal 6 April 1829), the famous Norwegian mathematician.
Since 2003 the Abel Prize is a yearly honour to the achievements
by a mathematician -- a good parallel to the Nobel Prize (for which there is no price in Mathematics!).
