Ardennes Resorts used for family holidays

• Domaine de Chôdes (1991), near Malmedy, by "Vrij Uit". Nicely located for running and making trips, but we obtained a very unclean house. However later the parks were maintained and improved considerably by "Creatief Vakantieparken" in Groningen.
• Village Les Gottales (1993), on the Mont St Jacques near Trois Point, by "Creatief Vakantieparken" in Groningen. This small park we can recommend! Very save for little children, a nice place for running hills, magnificent views over the hills. Note that Trois Point is also easily reached by train from Luik to Luxembourg.

Ardennes weekend trips

With a group of Philips collegues and relations I frequently visited the Ardennes to make a two days walking tour along some path of the GR (Grande Randonee). Once we also canoed the Lesse from Houyet to its entrance in the Maas. Most of the houses we reserved using Euro Relais in Eindhoven. The houses were located near Spa, Ligneuville, Achouffe, Marenne (Marche-en-Famenne) and Gouvy. Nice walking conditions were found near Malmedy and La Roche-en-Ardennes. For the Lesse tour we camped at Anseremme, which is just south of Dinant.
The planning of a weekend is usually done at the Trafalgar Pub Internetcafe in the Dommelstraat in Eindhoven, while drinking guinness.
